CITY | BUILDING | CULTURE Department

The CITY | BUILDING | CULTURE Department consists of the degree programmes architecture and urban design, conservation and restoration, arts management and cultural work and urban futures. These different courses of study and focal points of the department interlink via a cultural and (cultural) design claim. The broad spectrum of the department is reflected in the diverse projects of the degree programmes.

To mark her appointment as honorary professor of Culture and Management, Prof. Dr Vera Allmanritter gave her inaugural lecture on 24th of January 2024 entitled "The cultural audience of the future. How can cultural institutions become sustainable 'places of the people' with audience development and community building?".

On the occasion of his appointment as professor of Design and Construction, Architecture and Urban Design degree programme, Prof. Peter Eingartner gave his inaugural lecture on 8th of January 2024 entitled "Window. Facade. City. The window as an element shaping the cityscape".
