Senate of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam

The senate is an elected body responsible for the basic regulations and statutes of the university. It deals with fundamental questions of teaching, research, studies and examinations as well as the promotion of young academics and artists. The senate also elects the president and decides on appointment proposals from the departments.

Senate meetings: Information on attending

The senate meetings usually take place in the lecture period on the first Wednesday of the month from 3.00 pm in the meeting room.

University members and affiliates can participate in the public part of the meeting both on site in the main building and digitally via MS Teams. In MS Teams, go to "Teams", search for "join a team" and enter "23-25 Senate public" as the search term. Then join the team and you can participate in the current meeting via the channel, e.g. 277. Sitzung am 02.04.2025.

You can view the university-public Senate documents via VPN access and logging in with your Campus.Account.

Members of the senate

The regular term of office is two years and currently runs from 01/10/2023 to 30/09/2025. An exception is the student group, which is elected with a term of office of one year. The current term of office runs from 01/10/2023 to 30/09/2024. The next regular election will take place in June 2024.
