With its many programmes – from Photoshop to InDesign and Illustrator to Acrobat Pro – the Adobe Creative Cloud is an integral part of many students' everyday life, but it is expensive. In order to support students financially, the FHP development organisation is offering an annual subscription at significantly more favourable conditions for the first time.

With the Creative Cloud, you can use over 20 desktop programmes (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.), mobile apps and online services as well as fonts, cloud storage space, templates and tutorials from Adobe.

We offer the annual subscription at a price of 140 euros. That's 11.67 euros per month.

For comparison: This is how much single licences for students cost at Adobe:

  • in the 1st year: 232.90 euros/year (19.34 euros/month)
  • from the 2nd year: 417.74 euros/year (34.99 euros/month)

We can offer the lower price because we receive a significant volume discount by purchasing many licences at once. We also add an amount for administrative costs and a small profit margin that benefits the organisation. Together with VAT, this results in a sales price of 140 euros.

No, monthly payment is not possible. The annual subscription can only be paid all at once and in advance.

The subscription has a fixed term of one year. The term begins in mid-October 2024 and ends in mid-October 2025.

No, the subscription ends automatically after one year. You don't have to do anything else.

Yes, the subscription will be linked to the FHP e-mail address. This is the only way we can guarantee that the annual subscription is used by FH Potsdam students.

Whether the annual subscription is worthwhile depends above all on how long your existing Adobe subscription is still running.

If the subscription is still running for a while, you can cancel it before the end of the term. However, this may incur a cancellation fee. To avoid this, you can try cancelling your existing subscription by calling Adobe customer service (+49 69 5007-1855) and stating that you want to switch to the educational offerings of the FH Potsdam.

Switching is actually very simple: as soon as your new annual subscription is activated, log out of your old Adobe account in the "Adobe Creative Cloud" programme and log in with your new Adobe account (using your FHP email address).

Important for data that you have saved in the Adobe Cloud:

You can only access the cloud data as long as the account you were logged in with when you uploaded the data is still active. As soon as the previous subscription is deactivated by Adobe, you will no longer be able to access your old data. To be able to continue using the data with the new annual subscription, you must therefore log in to the old account while it is still active, download the cloud data there and upload it again after logging in to the new subscription.
