Co-working spaces
There are various co-working spaces on campus that are open to you for learning and working. Prior registration is usually not required.
Study programmes
Each degree programme has its own website for prospective students, where you can find up-to-date information and interesting articles about your degree programme.
The five faculties provide regular news and further information on teaching.
Semester dates
The semester timetable helps you to keep track of all important dates. This includes, for example, the lecture periods and examination weeks.
Course catalogue (VVZ)
You can find the courses for your degree programme in the online course catalogue. Interdepartmental courses are regularly offered in the InterFlex format. The VVZ is also available as an app.
Study Service
Your first point of contact for application, admission, enrolment, re-registration, leave of absence, de-registration or changing degree programmes at FHP is the Student Services.
Examination service
The Examination Service staff will support you throughout your entire degree programme. They will process your coursework and examinations up to the Bachelor's or Master's examination and issue the relevant certificates.
Student financing
In addition to BAföG and part-time jobs, there are other ways to finance your studies. These include scholarships and student loans. Find out about the individual financing options.
Application-orientated research
At the FHP, research is conducted in the three profile areas of Digital Transformation – Urban Future, Forming Society and Design ∙ Build ∙ Preserve. Practical relevance is a top priority.
International
Would you like to study or do an internship abroad? The International Office offers counselling and events on the subject. International students can find lots of useful information and tips for studying at FHP. The student group"FHP Connect" allows domestic and international students to network.
360° FUTURE
Advice, coaching, seminars and networking: the services offered by the Entrepreneurship School, the start-up service and career guidance provide an overview of career opportunities for students and graduates and support them in realising their plans.
FH Potsdam Supporters’ Association
The FH Potsdam Supporters’ Association supports the university in its development and serves to promote science, research and art. Student projects are also supported.
Campus life
In addition to studying, there are many opportunities at FHP to get involved, network or simply get active in sports. Whether it's gardening in the campus garden, working out in one of over 100 university sports courses or learning a foreign language – help shape campus life!
Student self-administration
Student self-administration represents the interests of all students. At the FHP, there is the General Students' Committee (AStA), which works across all departments, as well as the student councils within the departments. A special feature is the student vice president, who is a member of the Presidential Board.
Library
The library offers a wide range of research options – digital or analogue. There are over 60 workstations available. We also organise regular events for academic work.
Family
The FHP is a place for families. Among other things, there is flexible childcare and specially equipped places for families, such as the family room and quiet and breastfeeding rooms with nappy-changing facilities. The FAMteam will be happy to advise you on organising and financing your studies, pregnancy and parental leave as well as caring for relatives.
Vacancies
Are you looking for a part-time job, long-term employment or an internship? There are often vacancies at the FHP, e.g. as a student assistant. You can also find offers from other employers in our job exchange for students and alumni.
Support and counselling
Advice and Guidance Service for Students
The Advice and Guidance Service for Students is a subject-neutral counselling service. The staff will work with you to find solutions if, for example, you are having difficulties with your studies or are considering changing subject, university or dropping out.
Programme specific advice and guidance
Academic advising is provided by the programme specific advice and guidance, who will advise you before and during your studies on subject-specific questions, on the organisation of studies and examinations in your degree programme and on your individual course of study.
