Network – VPN, WIFI and Co
The network – the backbone of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam's IT. The university is connected to the german research network with 2 x 500 MBit and via it to the internet. You can find out which services you can use here.
Services
WIFI for guests and events
If you have an eduroam account, external users can also use it at the Digital Teaching Unit. Otherwise, the guest WIFI FHP-Guest is available in all buildings.
For larger events, a separate network can be set up. Please register this at least two weeks in advance. To do so, please send an email to it-service@fh-potsdam.de.
DNS and domains
For DNS entries, please contact the administrator of your department, who will have the entry set up by the network administrator.
For new domains, please send an email to it-service@fh-potsdam.de with the desired domain name. Please check first if it is still available. Please indicate the corresponding cost centre.
