Exchange Room with OFEK e.V. for Jewish Employees/Employees with a Jewish Family History at Universities/Universities of Applied Sciences in the Potsdam Area

Exchange room with OFEK e.V. for Jewish university members and university members with a Jewish family history at universities in the Potsdam area.

Since the 7th of October, anti-Semitic incidents in Germany have been on the rise – including at universities of applied sciences and universities. Anti-Semitism affects Jewish people in many different ways, and at the same time there are hardly any spaces in which they can talk about their experiences without them being denied or relativised.

Together, we would like to create an exchange space moderated by us for Jewish university members and university members with a Jewish family history, in which we can enter into dialogue. Our aim is to find out together what you need now and in the future, to explore options for action together and to be there for yourselves and for each other.

If necessary, the programme will be repeated or expanded.

The exchange room takes place digitally and in German spoken language.

OFEK e.V. is the first counselling centre in Germany to specialise in anti-Semitism and community-based counselling for those affected. OFEK counsels, accompanies and supports those affected, their relatives and witnesses of anti-Semitic incidents and acts of violence. OFEK stands impartially on the side of those seeking advice and brings Jewish perspectives into the social and political debate. OFEK's counselling is based on the specialist quality standards of professional victim counselling and applies to all cases with and without a criminal offence.

You can register directly via OFEK e.V. at saferspaces@ofek-beratung.de. The link will be sent after registration.
