Retrospective

Podcast "Salut France!"

An excursion to Paris provided an exciting insight into social work in France.

Salut Paris et Potsdam!

As part of the seminar "International Youth Work" with practice partner Anne-Laure Leroy, consultant of the Brandenburg Association for Youth Work/Youth Social Work, students of the Bachelor's degree programme in Social Work visited the Île-de-France region in June 2023 and exchanged ideas with students of social work in France and former participants of youth exchange programmes. They also visited a prevention centre and learned about a programme to combat truancy.

They actively tried out methods of international youth work. In July, students and teachers from the IRTS Montrouge Neuilly/Marne made a return visit to Potsdam. A workshop on the topic of inclusion was organised at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. The group also had the opportunity to visit the youth welfare office in Potsdam and get to know various social work organisations and projects in Potsdam and Berlin.

Many thanks to Anne-Laure Leroy for the initiative, to the Franco-German Youth Office for the financial support, the IRTS Montrouge and to Bachelor student Johanna Ullrich (Social Work) for the following podcast.
