Webinar for International Students - Health Insurance in Germany

Gruppe internationaler Studierender, die sich lächelnd umarmen

The information sessions organised by Techniker Krankenkasse inform international students about important information and necessary steps to ensure a smooth and well-insured start in Germany.

In the free live presentations, questions about social insurance and the first important steps in Germany are explained. This includes, for example, the obligation to register with a German statutory health insurance fund in order to be able to enrol.

The following points, among others, will be discussed:

  • How do I receive the M10 enrolment notification from my university from TK?
  • What regulations apply to EU and non-EU students with regard to health insurance?
  • How does the German healthcare system work?
  • What can I use my insurance card for and what services are covered?

All participants will also receive an e-mail address to which they can send questions at any time. These questions will of course be answered quickly and in English.

The online events are divided into two parts, starting with a short presentation and concluding with the opportunity to ask individual questions. Access is via MS Teams. On the booking page, students can select dates every fortnight, which take place from 2.00 - 3.00 pm. The next available dates are 31st of July and 14th of August.
