As part of the DAAD-funded project IFMB2 (Internationale Fachkräfte für die Metropolregion Berlin-Brandenburg), we are offering a workshop to help international students in the field of CITY | CONSTRUCTION | CULTURE to organise their social media profiles and web presence in a targeted and professional manner. This practice-oriented workshop will teach you strategies for optimising your online presence in order to increase your professional opportunities in Germany - whether for permanent positions or for setting up your own business.

Contents of the workshop at a glance
Part I – Workshop basics and strategies: 18/11/2024 // 1:00 pm – 5.00 pm
- Importance of social media in the professional world: Which platforms are relevant, with a focus on LinkedIn
- Career-enhancing online presence: Why a well-maintained web presence can increase your career opportunities.
- Platform comparison: Which digital channels are particularly valuable for your industry?
- Target group analysis: How do I find and reach my target group online?
- Data protection and privacy: What should I pay attention to when handling personal data?
- SEO – search engine optimisation: Tips on how to make your online presence visible in search results.
Part II – Individual coaching sessions and targeted optimisation: 29/11/2024 // 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm
- Individual consultation: one-to-one coaching sessions for targeted optimisation of your web presence and social media profiles (e.g. portfolio websites, social media channels). 25-30 minutes per participant
- Time slot for individual coaching will be agreed individually with the trainer in Part I
The workshop will be held in German , support in English will be offered if required.
About the trainer
Katharina Werth is the founder and owner of the HR strategy consultancy Jobweiser and an author. She is a certified adult educator, has more than 10 years of teaching experience in adult education as a freelance trainer, as a lecturer at educational institutions in Austria and is a LinkedIn Learning Trainer. She studied marketing with a focus on HR management and has worked as a recruiter and IT project manager. Her areas of expertise are recruiting, employer branding and onboarding.
