Online Application Workshop for International Students in the Department of Design

Are you an international student in the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and would like to perfect your application documents? Then this workshop is just right for you!
As part of the DAAD-funded IFMB2 project, the International Office is offering you an application workshop aimed specifically at international students. In this practice-orientated workshop, we will help you to create professional applications that are convincing both in Germany and internationally. We pay particular attention to language barriers and cultural differences in the application process for international students.
You will learn how to create appealing and convincing documents that emphasise your strengths. In addition to subject-specific topics such as how to create an impressive portfolio, you will also receive valuable general tips, practical exercises and checklists to help you prepare for the start of your career.

Individual further work on the application documents (2 weeks): Between Part I and II, you will have two weeks to prepare an application for a real job advertisement including a letter of motivation, CV and portfolio if applicable.
About the trainer
The trainer Aylin Kayser completed her industrial design studies at the FH Potsdam and has many years of experience in the fields of design, applied research, sales and project management. She has worked in start-ups, architecture firms, public administration and internationally active companies and has successfully made several lateral moves into new fields of activity. In her role as a manager, she coached specialists in their professional development and positioning for the future labour market. As part of the two-part workshop, she will share both her own and external perspectives with experts from her network.
