Prof. Dr. Jörg Maywald, born in 1955, studied sociology, psychology and education in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris, is co-founder of the Berlin Child Protection Centre. He worked for many years in child and youth welfare, youth health and adult education. From 1995 to 2021 he was executive director of the German League for the Child, and from 2002 to 2022 spokesperson for the National Coalition for the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Children in Germany. Since 2011 he has been an honorary professor at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.

Digital Simulation Games in University Teaching

The project is based at the Department of Social and Educational Sciences and is carried out in close cooperation with the Network Children's Rights – National Coalition Germany. The aim is to develop a prototype for digital simulation games for use in university teaching.
