What is an archive and how is it structured? What are the foundations and self-image of archival institutions in their work? What types of archives are there and how do their working methods differ? The seminar provides an insight into the structures and working methods of archival institutions and teaches basic concepts. In this way, you will not only learn to understand the structure of an archive, but also how to conduct targeted research in it.
