From Theory to Practice: Projects at the FH Potsdam at a Glance

The building is to be analysed and documented in order to plan suitable measures for its repair and long-term preservation.

In the "sepulcrum" seminar, contemporary and biodegradable urns for humans or animals were designed in cooperation with the family business and urn manufacturer Völsing. In a final presentation with jury meeting at the Baumschulenweg crematorium, the best urn designs were awarded prizes.

Behind the working title "Peter Behrens in Berlin and Brandenburg" is an ongoing elective course led by Prof. Dr Silvia Malcovati and Prof. Bernd Bess, in cooperation with Prof. em. Hartmut Frank of HafenCity University Hamburg and with the architectural photographer Maximilian Meisse.

Design of an individual rebranding for the manufactory "Die Eisfrau GmbH" in the communication design course at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.

With the measurement technology equipment procured in this ERDF project from the InfraFEI 2021 funding programme, building reactions can be recorded, evaluated, analysed, assessed and findings derived.

The aim of the work was to record the state of preservation and the original construction phase as well as to develop a concept for the permanent preservation of the building.
