From Theory to Practice: Projects at the FH Potsdam at a Glance

Multimedia, web-based and interactive access to study-relevant content in structural engineering

In the "ConvoQuest" project, innovative digital media as learning environments are being investigated and tested. The project focuses on a course at the FH Potsdam from the summer term of 2023, in which students developed prototypical, innovative learning environments. In the future, these can be used as a source of knowledge for questions about conversation techniques.

The study examines addiction self-help services in prison and after release from prison.

In the "sepulcrum" seminar, contemporary and biodegradable urns for humans or animals were designed in cooperation with the family business and urn manufacturer Völsing. In a final presentation with jury meeting at the Baumschulenweg crematorium, the best urn designs were awarded prizes.

With the modernisation of the servo-hydraulic test cylinder control system procured in this ERDF project from the InfraFEI 2021 funding programme, the laboratory is able to carry out examinations of building structures, components and fasteners as part of research projects and final theses with a focus on building maintenance.

The Game with Limits – My Climate Budget was developed by Prof. Holger Jahn and Tobias Jänecke as part of the materialnet research project and on the occasion of the 2021 Environmental Festival Potsdam. The StudiPortal Brandenburg project is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Research and Culture and aims to strategically combine the online and on-site services of eight higher education institutions in Brandenburg in order to increase the visibility of the study programmes on offer at national and international level.
