DG4MaaS: Data Governance Rules for Mobility-as-a-Service
Research project Data Governance Rules in Public Transport as a Building Block for Mobility-as-a-Service - MaaS
EDASCA
Innovative mobility offers require the comprehensive exchange of data and the networking of service offers. In addition to solving technological problems, this requires the development of sustainable business structures including suitable data governance rules. Today, the lack of appropriate structures is a major obstacle to the implementation of mobility innovations.
DG4Maas aims to establish governance rules in public transport. In addition to static and dynamic data (e.g. location of stops, target timetable, delays), the networking of more complex services (information, booking, payment function) including their business processes (e.g. connection assurance) is considered.
The project examines three spatial structural units: rural areas, medium-sized cities and conurbations. The focus is on intermodal travel planning. WP 1 describes the eco-system for MaaS offers. WP 2 takes an in-depth look at the business structure and the roles of the actors. WP 3 analyses the regulatory and technical-institutional framework. Finally, WP 4 is dedicated to the formulation of governance rules.
