Science Competition: Science Slammers wanted!
The Brandenburg Science Slam enters its second round in spring. (Young) scientists are invited to present their research topics and results to the audience in ten minutes.
The Brandenburg Science Slam gives scientists from Brandenburg's universities and non-university institutions a stage. There will be a science slam at each of the seven locations of the attendance centres in the state on various dates from April to June.
On the 12th of May, the Science Slam will take place in the joint presence centre of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau and the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam in the Gewerbehof in Luckenwalde.
Call for participation
All researchers who would like to present their topic or project in a popular science talk can take part.
Scientists who are inexperienced in science slams will be given the opportunity to attend a "How to Science Slam" workshop beforehand. This workshop will be held by Germany's science slam pioneer Julia Offe (https://www.scienceslam.de) and will provide participants with the tools they need to give a successful presentation.
To register, interested parties are asked to send a short abstract (see application form) to praesenzstelle@fh-potsdam.de by the 31st of January 2023.
