Testing Transdisciplinary Tools: Identifying Knowledge Bases with the Give-and-Take Matrix
Identify knowledge bases – use the Give-and-Take Matrix to work out the expectations of users and the potential contributions of the various actors in inter- and transdisciplinary projects.
The Give-and-Take Matrix is a structured process that enables research teams with different disciplinary backgrounds and in collaboration with practitioners to establish connections between individual research parts or sub-projects. On the one hand, this tool strengthens mutual understanding and helps to clarify mutual expectations. On the other hand, it makes it easier to clarify who is responsible for which tasks and how the various contributions can best be combined. This can lead to better interaction and highlight valuable connections and interfaces. The give-and-take matrix can therefore be used to better assess potential conflicts of interest between the stakeholders and define clear roles and responsibilities.
In the fifth ttt workshop, the Give-and-Take Matrix will be presented and tried out by the participants. There will be plenty of room for mutual exchange.
