Sparkling Wine & Synergies with Havel Valley in Brandenburg an der Havel

The Havel Valley Open Source Initiative is an association of voluntary freelancers, entrepreneurs and Brandenburg residents who want to build and maintain a sustainable start-up culture. The website states: "Our common goal is to develop Brandenburg an der Havel into Berlin's "Silicon Valley". We want to build an infrastructure that enables sustainable business and work in order to harmonise work and family with a better quality of life."

Havel Valley's volunteer community is making a difference in their city: from the beer mat business plan competition at schools to the popular annual popcorn pitch at the Concerthaus cinema and coworking spaces for members and those interested in networking. Havel Valley has become a symbol for the start-up scene in beautiful Brandenburg Havel. The liveable city has also been experiencing a trend reversal in recent years and is attracting more and more young people, families and companies.

Students, graduates or employees of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam who want to gain an insight into this strong community of like-minded people or perhaps even have concrete plans for self-employment are cordially invited to raise their glasses and create synergies on the 25^th of March. Accompanying persons are of course welcome!
