Dates of the Lecture Series "Sustainable Building"
Lecture series on sustainable building organised by the Brandenburg Chamber of Architects and University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
The lecture series
Sustainable building is a very broad topic and encompasses much more than just energy efficiency or the choice of suitable materials. Involving all users and decision-makers in the design process and analysing requirements is just as much a part of it as considering existing resources throughout their entire life cycle and the intelligent reuse of existing buildings and their infrastructures.
In cooperation with the Brandenburg Chamber of Architects, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FHP) has been organising an event on the topic of "Sustainable Building" twice a semester since 2022. Each event begins with a specialist lecture, followed by an open Q&A session and discussion in which both representatives from the profession and students can comment on the topics raised.
In this way, the Brandenburg Chamber of Architects (BA) would like to provide both current and potential future members of the BA with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with this highly sought-after topic area and offer further training. And the FHP would like to give its students an insight into the practical aspects of sustainable construction.
