Daycare Centre Management: Successful Completion, new Course in preparation

Under the academic direction of Prof. (em.) Dr. Peter Knösel, Department of Social and Educational Sciences, the 16th course of the in-service training in daycare management was successfully completed on the 3^rd of March 2023. The participants received the university certificate from the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and have thus qualified for a management position in a daycare centre or related facility. As part of the training programme, they deepened and expanded their knowledge and skills in the field of leadership and management. The final module was led by Uwe Hanf, academic assistant in the Department of Culture and Management, Faculty of CITY | BUILDING | CULTURE.

In addition to theoretical basics, the lecturers, consisting of lecturers from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and proven practical experts, convey the contents of this further education programme in lectures, group work, role plays, presentations and practical exercises using case studies from the participants. The training takes place in person and is supplemented by digital formats. Our learning platform (Moodle) provides support through the possibility of sharing work documents and networking with other participants. The training is specifically designed to teach the skills needed to apply what has been learnt directly in practice. More than 90 % of our participants benefit directly from the skills they have learnt and apply the knowledge they have acquired in their profession.
