FL²@Int'lFlex – Research-based Teaching and Learning in an International Context
Institutional and structural measures for strategic funding in an international context in the program of the German Academic Exchange Service "HAW.International Module A"
Internationalization as an overarching, strategic cross-sectional task of higher education institutions ensures and enhances quality in studying and teaching. Funded by the Federal Ministery of education and Research, the two-year project FL²@Int'lFlex aims to develop a comprehensive internationalization strategy in combination with the design and implementation of measures to strengthen the areas of study, teaching and administration internationally.
The project picks up experiences with research-based and interdisciplinary teaching at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and uses them for systematic internationalization "at home & on tour". The planned measures serve the constructive understanding (on-site, abroad), the strategic networking (with partners) and the sustainable anchoring (cooperations, curricula).
Three areas with numerous face-to-face and online activities characterize the project structure:
- Internationalization@home: expansion of the welcome culture, language courses, intercultural and international continuing education offerings, development of mentoring formats
- Me, Myself & I: Strategy development - webinars and workshops on the strategic development and expansion of the university's internationalization
- InternationalizationOnTour: Networking and building partnerships abroad
Expanding on these areas are central, overarching activities: Interdisciplinary and International Courses and Summer Schools.
