DiCargo – Intermodal City Logistics

The subject of the master's thesis is the conception of a monorail city logistics system for the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing. The aim is to reduce truck-based delivery traffic in the city and to distribute goods via the city's monorail system. The work thus addresses a highly topical issue: How can the – usually truck-bound – freight traffic in the city be reduced, optimally using existing infrastructures? DiCargo consists of the monorail freight vehicle, the freight transit station and the road transport system.
