University Communication
Briefly introduced
Stefan Raich

The project coordinator of the joint project InNoWest explains what he finds exciting about the FH Potsdam and why he chose the university.

Stefan Raich studied Philosophy (B.A.) at the Munich School of Philosophy and Tourism Management at the Munich University of Applied Sciences (Diploma). In his final thesis, he focussed on "Indicators for sustainable development among tour operators" and was involved in setting up a student network on business ethics.

He worked for several years in development cooperation at GIZ in the areas of knowledge management and environmental and climate protection and was an advisor to the German Bundestag, among others. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as an independent consultant for companies in the field of sustainability management and communication and worked with universities on sustainable consumer behaviour.

As project coordinator of InNoWest, he builds on his experience in transdisciplinary research and transfer from a BMBF project. InNoWest aims to make innovative contributions from the universities to the transformation processes of digitalisation and sustainability in the North-West Brandenburg region. Stefan Raich coordinates the project activities together with colleagues from the partner universities HNE Eberswalde and TH Brandenburg and is also the contact person at the FHP for the further development of these topics.

As a child I wanted to ...

to become a professional footballer. You can win a lot by playing well and constructively in a team and it can be a lot of fun.

I've been working at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam since ...

mid-March 2023.

I chose the University of Applied Sciences because ...

in addition to the InNoWest project concept, I find the FHP's mix of subjects exciting and consider interdisciplinary cooperation to be indispensable and a great added value for dealing with the transformation processes of the present and future.

What my colleagues appreciate about me is that ...

I am good at analysing, thinking outside the box and looking at things from different perspectives.

I never leave the house without ...

a key. Whether you can unlock everything with it is another question.

I've always wanted to ...

go on a big sailing trip.
