Name/ Birthday/ Place of birth
Lisa Bucher, *1979 in Munich.

Title/ Function/ Department
Professor of Information and Image in the Department of Design.

I earned my first money
in Mr. Pötzinger's greengrocer's shop in Munich. I wasn't particularly good at mental arithmetic, the cent prices for vegetables didn't exactly suit me and it happened that customers wanted to buy a "Radi", "Schwammerln" or "Erdäpfä". It was the shortest job of my life so far.

I decided to go to the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam because
after my work at the Süddeutsche Zeitung, I'm incredibly curious about teaching and all its possibilities, because I immediately loved the university and all the people I've met here so far, with its workshops and tranquil size, and because on the day of my appointment lecture DJ played the recorder in the campus garden.

My students will appreciate the fact that
I can perhaps give them a little insight into the world of work and share things with them that I had to learn myself, sometimes with great effort. And I hope that they can benefit from the fact that I am reinventing my teaching for myself and my students with all the joy of a new beginning.

I forget the time when
always when it's already short.

I am driven mad by
dried up pens.

My greatest success was
probably my work on the investigative projects of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, such as the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers, and when our team leaders were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for their work. I'm also proud that I now write articles as an illustrator and have just been nominated for the Reporter Prize for the second time. In the end we lost to something-with-bees and since the Panama Papers I've been advised against travelling to Russia, but I still think it was worth it.
